The Bees
We practice natural beekeeping and keep honeybees captured as swarms in the local community.
Our current swarms are 2 years old.
The Hives
Our hives are top bar hives -Kenyan top bar and a rare Cathedral hive - a more ecological style of hive also easier for kids and folks with disabilities to work with.
The Gear
We wear traditional beekeeping gear and use tools like a bee brush, sugar spritzer, and occasionally a smoker to manage the colony while we are inside
